Meet Dr. Martin A. Seidenschmid

Dr. Seidenschmid (“Doc Martin”) hails from Toronto Canada. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto with a double specialty in Physiology and Pharmacology. He then moved to Philadelphia, PA where he received his dental degree from Temple University. Dr. Martin subsequently moved to New York where he completed his oral surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center.

Being an avid outdoorsman, Dr. Martin started skiing at the age of 3 and rock climbing at the age of 12. He fondly remembers spending summers in Austria and Germany skiing, rock climbing, and hiking. His love of the outdoors and sports is what brought him to the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Martin performs routine oral surgical procedures such as: 3rd molar and dentoalveolar surgery with a special interest in dental implant surgery and full mouth rehabilitation.

His profound commitment to continuing educational pursuits is something he shares with the other 2 doctors in the group. Dr Boice introduced him to the Seattle Study Club when he joined the practice, and this long-term affiliation is one he cherishes. This same commitment has motivated him to travel both nationally & internationally to study under some of the most internationally renowned Oral Surgeons and Clinicians in the world. These studies have afforded him the knowledge and technical skills required to manage some of the most challenging implant cases.

Dr. Martin is known for his extraordinary patience and his ability to connect with his patients in a manner that makes them feel comfortable and cared for. His humor is one of his trademarks, a gift that endears him to his patients.

Dr. Martin is a firm believer in enjoying not only your work but your life. He enjoys spending his free time golfing, skiing, rock climbing, traveling, and discovering new outdoor pursuits with his equally adventurous wife, Dr. Gina Retoma.
